Modern Slavery
Overview
Swanstaff Ltd are committed to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within its business and imposes the same high standards on its suppliers.
We expect all who have, or seek to have, a business relationship with Swanstaff Ltd to familiarise themselves with our anti-slavery policy and to act at all times in a way which is consistent with our anti-slavery and Human trafficking policy.
Organisational Structure and Supply Chains
Swanstaff Recruitment Ltd is a multi-sector recruitment agency. Our approach is overseen by the Board of Directors, who ensure the implementation of policies and resources dedicated to combating these issues. The Compliance team conducts regular risk assessments, while the HR and Recruitment Operations teams ensure ethical recruitment practices. Our operations team monitors supplier compliance, and ensures adherence to the Modern Slavery Act. Training and awareness programs are provided to staff, and a clear reporting system is in place for any suspected instances of modern slavery. All departments work collaboratively to maintain high ethical standards and transparency in our business practices.
Expectations
As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within our business, we have adopted the following policies and procedures.
- Set the tone from the top through a Board level communication reinforcing the organisation’s zero tolerance towards modern slavery.
- Adopting a modern slavery policy and modifying existing policies and codes.
- Reviewing procurement policies and procedures to ensure that they are capable of responding to any issues identified.
- Updating standard contracts to ensure that supply chains are required to comply with the policy and the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- Ensuring that whistleblowing policies cover modern slavery reporting.
- Implementing a targeted training programme to ensure that those responsible for procurement are aware of the issues.
Training
As well as training employees, Swanstaff LTD will raise awareness of modern slavery issues by emailing out the anti-slavery and human trafficking policy to all employees. We expect employees to refer to this policy and understand what is required of them in relation to modern slavery.
The policy on modern slavery will be communicated to all suppliers, contractors and business partners at appropriate points during our business relationship with them and reinforced as appropriate thereafter.
Further Actions
Following our review of actions to prevent slavery or human trafficking from occurring in our business or supply chains, we intend to continue to review and take further necessary steps to tackle slavery and human trafficking.
This statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Swanstaff LTD Limited Slavery and Human trafficking statement for the year ending December 2024.
